PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
This program is designed for Investigators whose position requires them to conduct extensive interviews on a regular basis. The program also assumes that the Investigator has attended a basic 3-5 day course on Interview and Interrogation Techniques. The focus of this course is on the process of communication as it applies to both the Investigator and the Interviewee rather than the strategy of the interview as covered in the basic course. Much attention will be given to enhancing the sensory perception of the Interviewer. The issues of RAPPORT, CONGRUENCE, MOTIVATIONAL STRATGIES, CALIBRATION and MODALITIES will be explored in depth. This program will provide an intense hands-on experience for the participants who will engage in numerous exercises each day.
OBJECTIVES:
When the participant completes this course of instruction, he/she will be able to:
- Restate the basic "game plan" as taught in the basic course.
- Maximize Witness/Victim and Cooperative Suspects' ability to recall details/descriptions, etc.

- Reduce ration of time spent with subject verses information gained.
